Prosecution wrapping up its case against Army private who gave classified info to WikiLeaks

Prosecutors say they're reaching the end of their case in the court-martial of an Army private who gave mountains of classified information to the anti-secrecy group WikiLeaks.

Maj. Ashden Fein says the government expects to call its final witness Monday afternoon. The State Department counterintelligence official would be the government's 28th live witness in the trial that began June 3.

Earlier Monday, prosecutors presented evidence that al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden asked for and received from an associate a copy of the Afghanistan war logs that WikiLeaks published online after Manning admittedly sent them to the group.

Manning is charged with aiding the enemy, which carries a possible life sentence.

He says he leaked the documents to expose the U.S. military's disregard for human life.
