Friday May 24, 2013 Happening Now - Maxim Model Murder Case Deliberations Continue

A bridge collapsed not far from Seattle. Three people were taken to the hospital after their cars were dumped in the waters of the Skagit River. No one knows yet what caused the four lane bridge to collapse.

There was a 5.7 earthquake in far Northern California. No one hurt, though nerves are rattled.

A British Airways flight made an emergency landing in London. Passengers were forced to evacuate the plane via slides and Heathrow Airport was briefly shut down. 3 were injured.

President Obama speaks at the U.S. Naval Academy Commencement Ceremony this morning. Yesterday he gave a strong defense of the drone program.

We get durable goods orders today.

Mike Emanuel reporting on the IRS targeting scandal. IRS director of exempt organizations Lois Lerner has been put on administrative leave. She pled the 5th in testimony to Congress this week, but may be called back to Capitol Hill.

John Roberts reports on the damage estimates as funerals continue after a horrible tornado in Moore, OK.

The jury in the Jodi Arias murder trial was hung, and unable to decide on life in prison or death for the murderess. Now another jury will have to be seated to decide on a punishment. Adam Housley reporting.

The jury will continue to deliberate today in the Maxim model murder trial. Julianna Redding was strangled to death. Kelly Soo Park is on trial for the murder. The jury has the case and will begin deliberating at Noon our time.

Britain is sending a deluge of policemen into the streets to head off trouble after a pair of crazed terrorists stabbed and hacked a British soldier to death. There are fears there could be copycat crimes.
