Bombing conspiracy suspect's father: son's 'not a terrorist;' FBI bombing probe goes to Russia

The father of a student charged with conspiracy in the Boston Marathon bombing case insists his son is not a terrorist.

Amir Ismagulov, (ah-MEER' is-MAH'-gool-ov) the father of Azamat Tazhayakov (AZ'-maht tuh-ZAY'-uh-kahv), says he has visited his son in prison and, at his son's request, has left flowers at a memorial near the finish line of the Boston Marathon.

Tazhayakov's lawyer, Arkady Bukh (ar-KAH'-dee BUCK) says his client cooperated with the FBI even before his arrest by helping to hand over bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's laptop computer.

Tazhayakov and another friend are charged with removing the computer and a backpack from Tsarnaev's dorm room. A third friend has been charged with lying to federal investigators.

Also Tuesday, FBI director Robert Mueller discussed the bombing investigation with his Russian counterparts during a trip to Moscow.
