Police say a man who is suspected of breaking into a home in Washington stopped and fed a couple’s dog before leaving.
The couple reportedly walked in on the man Saturday night after returning to their East Wenatchee home.
“He was standing there with the refrigerator door open and feeding their dog some pudding,” Dan Reierson, assistant chief of the East Wenatchee Police Department, told Wenatchee World.
Reierson said the suspect, identified as 38-year-old Jason McDaniel, told the couple he was looking for a man to kill, but they said he had the wrong home. McDaniel then called for the dog -- a black lab-pitbull mix -- and both walked out the door.
McDaniel was later arrested at his home on suspicion of residential burglary, but the dog is still missing, Wenatchee World reports.
