Fire destroys medical office in Detroit following report of shooting; no word of injuries

A fire has destroyed a Detroit building containing a medical office where a shooting was also reported.

The Detroit Fire Department says it responded to a 911 call about the blaze Tuesday morning. Firefighters are at the scene.

Clinical psychologist Kim Logan Nolin has an office at the Park Medical Centers building. She says she was on her way to work about 9 a.m. when a worker already at the building called to her to say it was on fire and that there had been a shooting.

WDIV-TV is reporting that a shooting may have taken place at the building before the fire.

Additional details haven't been released.

There's been no immediate word of injuries. The Detroit police public information office said it had no information to release Tuesday morning.
