Police say a man bled to death outside a Brooklyn restaurant after he fell on a broken bottle during an argument.

The incident happened at 4 a.m. Saturday in the borough's Flatbush section.

Witnesses tell police two men were involved in a dispute inside the eatery, and then got into an altercation outside.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found one of the men bleeding from a cut on his arm.

The victim was in his 20s. He was taken to a hospital, but doctors couldn't save him.

News photographs of the scene showed investigators retrieving a large knife from the street, but police said they believed it was the glass, and not the blade, that delivered the fatal wound.

The slain man's identity wasn't immediately released.
