Georgia authorities step up search for missing mom

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation joined the Franklin County Sheriff's Office in a search for a missing Georgia mother who disappeared more than a week ago, reports.

Bonny Anne Cooner, 33, was last seen outside of her home in Canon, Ga., on Jan. 28. Authorities found Cooner's son and car a the empty home, the Athens Banner-Herald reports.

"I'd be guessing about whether we have a crime or just a missing person," Special Agent Mike Ayers purportedly said Wednesday.

Authorities are questioning friends, family, associates and anyone who may have information about Cooner's whereabouts.

A Facebook page, called "Please help find Bonny Anne Cooner," has been created in hopes of aiding with the search.

Cooner is a single mother and is described as white, 5-foot-5, 160-170 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. She has multiple tattoos.

Anyone with information about Cooner's disappearance is encouraged to call the Georgia Bureau of Investigation or the Franklin County Sheriff's Office at 706-384-2525.
