A Georgia dollar store clerk was arrested after allegedly spanking the 8-year-old child of a customer with a belt.
39-year-old Emilia Graciela Bell faces multiple charges over the incident, which happened at the Dollar General Store in Wrightsville.
WMAZ reports Bell confronted the boy while he was running around the store. Bell told officers the child threw a cookie at her, so she removed her belt and spanked him behind the counter. Officials say Bell allegedly hit the child at least 25 times.
Bell was arrested Thursday and originally charged with battery. She was charged over the weekend with aggravated assault after authorities viewed the alleged spanking from a different camera angle on video, and charged with cruelty to children Monday.
