Arizona teen dies after crashing plastic sled into tree

An Arizona teen died in a sledding accident Monday during a trip to Flagstaff, MyFoxPhoenix.com reported.

Jake McGrady, 17, was rushed to Flagstaff Medical Center with multiple internal and external injuries and died during emergency surgery, MyFoxPhoenix.com reported. The other person sitting behind him on the plastic sled suffered minor injuries.

Investigators say the teen traveled to Flagstaff on Sunday with 11 classmates and two of their parents who were supervising the trip.

The Coconino County Sheriff's Department is investigating the accident.
