President Obama hitting the road to sell his plan for avoiding the fiscal cliff, as legislators work towards some kind of deal. The President treating it like it's a continuation of the presidential campaign including events today at the White House with middle class Americans, and a road trip to sell his ideas directly to Americans. The President also meets today with CEO's at the White House. Meantime, the GOP seems to be sticking to its guns on not raising tax rates for the wealthy and DEMS are demanding no touching of entitlements and now talking about permanently raising the debt ceiling.

All this going on as a HUGE fight shaping up in the Senate over possibly changing the rules on filibusters. This would likely spark a major battle and could poison the well in the Senate.
