Son of Madoff's longtime accountant reportedly commits suicide

The 23-year-old son of Bernard Madoff's longtime accountant reportedly committed suicide in Ohio.

Jeremy Friehling, a 23-year-old old college student, was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Columbus, Ohio, the Nyack-Piermont Patch reported Friday.

Friehling, of New City, N.Y., is the son of David G. Friehling, who pleaded guilty in Madoff's Ponzi scheme.

Police in Rockland County, N.Y., learned of Jeremy Friehling's apparent suicide on Thursday, according to the website.
