The Israelis are pounding Gaza City with ordinance. Some 85 missiles have exploded within the past hour in Gaza City as the escalation in hostilities continues to ramp up. Yesterday there was a terror attack on the outskirts of Tel Aviv. Israel is targeting sites they say militants are using to launch rockets at Israeli territory. President Obama meets with Congressional leaders today on the fiscal cliff, the debt and tax policy. Top Republicans and Democrats will be at the White House during our hours, and we may get comments afterwards.
The President also meeting with civil rights leaders and other organizations to get their input on fiscal cliff negotiations.
Meantime, there is growing support for a suggestion by former presidential candidate Mitt Romney to limit all tax deductions to $50M. The Tax Policy Center suggests it would raise $760B over 10 years.
