Police say they've arrested two suspects and recovered all the paintings stolen in a huge heist from the home of a Southern California financier.
Police Sgt. Richard Lewis said in a statement Thursday that most of the paintings were found when authorities served a search warrant on a car stereo store in Pasadena after a tip from local police. Lewis says the store's manager, 45-year-old Jay Jeffrey Nieto, was arrested Wednesday.
The investigation then led to a home in nearby San Gabriel, where police arrested 40-year-old Wilmer Cadiz and recovered four more paintings.
The victim, Jeffrey Gundlach of Santa Monica, returned from a business trip Sept. 14 to find that more than a dozen paintings by the likes of Piet Mondrian and Jasper Johns worth a total of about $10 million had been taken.
