Inmate in Vermont charged with drug possession

SPRINGFIELD, Vt. – A Vermont prison inmate has been charged with possessing heroin and cocaine.

Police say 34-year-old Edward Kendall, an inmate at the Southern State Correctional Facility, was found on July 16 with 23 baggies of heroin and a crack cocaine rock. He was being held on unrelated charges since July 13.

Kendall has a court appearance scheduled on Sept. 25.
