Suspected mass murderer James Holmes will be in court during our hours today. He'll hear the charges (at least some of them) being made against him. We can expect 12 first degree murder charges. Lawyers for the suspected killer will likely complain to the judge that the gag order issued in the case has been repeatedly violated. As you've no doubt noticed, there have been many leaks to the media. Alicia Acuna is live in Colorado, and we have some good guests to talk to us around the events. Please have float pages ready to go in case the lawyers talk after the hearing at 11:30.

Mitt Romney making a lot of news as he continues his overseas trip. He's leaving Israel this morning, and will arrive in Poland just in time for our show. The Governor using some harsh language in speech in Jerusalem saying The Obama Administration isn't doing enough to stop Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons. Mister Romney says stopping Iran's nuke program should be America's highest national security priority. In our reporting today, let's be sure to emphasize the special relationship between the U.S. and Poland..

The other big story is the push, here at home, by the Romney campaign to continue the theme of "We did build this." They seem to be getting a lot of mileage out of some comments made by the President back on July 13th.

On the left, President Obama has a fairly quiet schedule so far today. There are some campaign events later today in NYC. The biggest news is that former President Clinton will play a prominent role at the Democratic convention. More on that today too.

The unrelenting heat continues across much of the middle part of the nation. Triple digit temps continue in TX, OK, KS, MO and AR. It's making drought conditions even worse, and raising more fears of higher food prices.

Olympics continue in the UK. Right now the U.S. is second in the medal race. We've got 11 so far (China has 12).
