KEY DEVELOPMENTS: Former Penn State football assistant coach Mike McQueary, whose account about Jerry Sandusky and a boy resulted in coach Joe Paterno's downfall, told a jury that he heard "skin-on-skin smacking sound" between Sandusky and the still-unidentified Victim No. 2 in a shower on Penn State's campus in February 2001. McQueary, one of the star witnesses in the case, said he slammed his locker shut loudly as if to say, "Someone's here! Break it up!"
ODDS AND ENDS: Wondering why the Sandusky trial isn't being televised like other high-profile cases such as Casey Anthony's were? That's because rules developed by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court prohibit all types of cameras and broadcasting in courtrooms during criminal proceedings. The rules give judges on the appellate courts — Supreme, Superior and Commonwealth — discretion to allow cameras in non-jury, civil proceedings, however.
WHAT'S NEXT: Two accusers have testified since the trial began. While there are 10 listed by the attorney's general office, two have yet to be located or identified. That leaves another six who may be called to the witness stand.
