Good Morning!

The endorsement of same sex marriage by President Obama may have been an electorally risky move, but financially it's proven a windfall. The President raking in $15 million at a party for Hollywood heavyweights hosted by actor George Clooney. That's a single event fundraising record. The President also using the gay marriage issue almost immediately in a web ad. Apparently the President also got an Oval Office apology from Joe Biden for forcing his hand on the issue early. Reportedly the President was planning to unveil his stance NEXT week ahead of a high-profile gay rights fundraiser starring singer and actor Ricky Martin and one starring the singer Pink. Today the President heads to the Reno-Lake Tahoe area. He's expected to make remarks on the economy at just after 3pm with a focus on housing and preventing foreclosures.

Mitt Romney is campaigning today in North Carolina. He'd like to turn the message back to the economy after a heavy focus this week in the national media on gay marriage. It may come up though, in light of North Carolina's passage this week of an anti-gay marriage measure. There's also reports out there about alleged misbehavior by the Governor in his youth.

Did you hear about JP Morgan Chase? The banking giant admitted yesterday it lost $2 billion due to a rogue trader.. Jamie Dimon, Chase CEO blamed "errors, sloppiness and bad judgment" for the losses. It will be interesting to see what the stock market and investors think when the markets open.

The manhunt for Adam Mayes is over. You'll remember he killed a woman and one of her three daughters, and then kidnapped the other two. Both girls are safe. Mayes shot himself in the head.

At least 10 bodies have been recovered in that Indonesia plane crash. The Superjet-100 was Russia's first new model of passenger jet since the fall of the Soviet Union. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

NATO reporting that a terrorist wearing an Afghan army uniform killed an American and wounding two others today.

It's sentencing day for polo club founder John Goodman. He's accused of killing someone in a drunk driving accident and then "adopting" his girlfriend to avoid financial dings.

The John Edwards campaign finance trial continues today. The Prosecution wrapped their case yesterday. We may take a look at what we've seen so far, and what we could see in the defense case.
