Jury convicts 5 men in deadly 2010 shootings in DC

A jury has convicted five men in one of the deadliest series of shootings in years in the nation's capital.

Five people died, three in a drive-by shooting on South Capitol Street in 2010.

When the trial began in late February, prosecutors said the shootings began over a missing piece of costume jewelry.

Jurors convicted brothers Sanquan and Orlando Carter, as well as Jeffrey Best and Robert Bostfour of first-degree murder and other charges. Lamar Williams was convicted of second-degree murder. The verdicts were read Monday. Jurors had been deliberating since April 25.
