Police and a passerby helped revive a 10-year-old Long Island girl who lay unconscious on her front lawn after choking on tortilla chips.

Alana Kiceina was listed in stable condition and breathing on her own following the incident Wednesday afternoon.

Suffolk County police say when they responded to the Mastic home they found Shawn Mitchell of Ridge performing CPR on the child.

Police used a defibrillator to revive her. They credited Mitchell with contributing to saving the girl's life.
