Ex-Abramoff partner says suspect ordered Fla. hit

A former partner of disgraced Washington lobbyist Jack Abramoff says a reputed mobster ordered the 2001 slaying of a prominent South Florida businessman.

Adam Kidan testified Wednesday that Anthony "Big Tony" Moscatiello masterminded the hit on Konstantinos "Gus" Boulis. Kidan says Boulis was killed amid a financial dispute over the SunCruz Casinos fleet. Boulis had recently sold SunCruz to Kidan and Abramoff, who were later charged with fraud in the deal and went to prison. They are not accused in the Boulis slaying.

Authorities say Moscatiello has ties to New York's Gambino crime family, which his attorney denies. Moscatiello and Anthony "Little Tony" Ferrari have pleaded not guilty to murder charges.

The hearing Wednesday concerns whether to revoke $500,000 bail for Moscatiello. A trial date hasn't been set.
