Homicide detectives in Georgia were investigating Sunday after a woman was found dead inside a home.

The 43-year-old woman's husband has been named as a person of interest in her death, WSB-TV reported. He claims that a group of Japanese men broke into the home, raped her and then strangled her.

Her body was found shortly after 2:00 a.m. Sunday by police responding to a call for help at the home in Decatur, about six miles east of Atlanta.

A source told WSB that police found blood in the living room -- where the body was discovered -- and near the kitchen.

The woman's husband reportedly told police that one of the five Japanese men who allegedly broke in and killed his wife bit his hand as he attempted to fight them.

A neighbor recalled seeing the man standing at the front door and screaming for help.

Police named the man as a person of interest and may file charges after an autopsy is completed, according to WSB.
