Anchorage police say their investigation into the abduction of an 18-year-old barista from a coffee shack is being hindered by weather conditions.

KTUU reports that video surveillance from the evening of Feb. 1 shows an armed man wearing a hooded sweat shirt taking Samantha Koenig from the coffee shack on foot. Police have not released the video.

But department spokesman Lt. Dave Parker says snow and winter driving conditions made it difficult for drivers along one of the busiest intersections to remember seeing anything.

The coffee shack sits in the parking lot of a large health club in midtown Anchorage. A large berm from cleared snow has built up. The club had the snow removed Thursday to increase visibility and security for Common Grounds Espresso.
