One week until Florida votes, and the way it's been going anything could happen!
There was a debate last night. Brian Williams ran a tight ship. Not as many sparks or attacks on the media last night. There were some barbs from Mitt Romney, and some tough questions on Gingrich's business dealings and Romney's taxes.
The focus today likely to be on Romney's tax rate (he released several years worth yday), and on Gingrich's work for Freddie Mac.
Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney, and Rick Santorum are campaigning in Florida. No schedule yet from Ron Paul for the day.
President Obama gives the State of the Union Speech tonight at 9pm. He's expected to focus on the economy and protecting the middle class. You can expect lots about fairness. He's also expected to suggest tax breaks for businesses who bring jobs home, more help for homeowners and to double down on clean energy.
At 11am, Senate Budget Committee Ranking Member Sessions will be joined by other GOP Senators in a news conference to discuss the President's SOTU speech and the failure of Senate Dems.. We'll show and go on this.
At 12pm, consumer groups and some members of Congress are holding an event to support Richard Cordray as head of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
