ALBANY, N.Y. – For the second time in two days, a pedestrian has been struck and injured by an unmarked car driven by a state trooper from New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo's security detail.
State police say a 50-year-old Mount Kisco man was hit by a car driven by Investigator Gregory Panzarella near Cuomo's Westchester County home Thursday night. His condition wasn't immediately released Friday.
The other pedestrian, a 22-year-old woman, was hit by a car driven by Sgt. Joseph Crispino on Wednesday morning in Mount Kisco. She was listed in fair condition Friday.
Major Michael Kopy says accident reconstruction investigations are under way. He says both officers were on duty at the time.
A Cuomo spokesman says neither the governor nor his staff members were in either vehicle during the accidents.
