Police seek man accused of murdering pregnant co-worker

Police in Charlotte, N.C., were Saturday night hunting a man they believe responsible for murdering a 25-year-old pregnant woman he worked with.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police charged Mark Anthony Cox, 22, in the murder of Danielle Marie Watson, whose body was found behind a dumpster at the Stonecrest Shopping Center on Saturday morning. He was also charged with two counts of armed robbery.

Investigators said Cox was a co-worker of Watson's at a nearby business, The Flying Biscuit Cafe.

Cox was released from prison about two months ago after serving time on armed robbery charges, The Charlotte Observer reported. He was believed to have fled in Watson's vehicle -- a two-door, blue 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier.

Watson's father said his daughter, who was planning her wedding, may have been targeted because she had access to a safe in the cafe.
