Wow.. quite an evening of news last night.

Perry presidential campaign had what many are calling a

"Howard Dean" moment. He couldn't remember three federal agencies he would shut

down. Larry Sabato tweeted "Perry's forgetfulness is the most devastating

moment of any modern primary debate." Ouch. Sabato is with us today.

Cain, though, getting high marks for his performance. He

wasn't asked in detail about the allegations of sexual harassment against him.

Joe Paterno and Penn State University President Graham

Spanier were fired. Some 2000 students promptly rioted. Police say they knocked

over a news van and had to be subdued with tear gas.

Markets in the U.S. are expected to rebound (slightly)

after a brutal sell-off yesterday. Asia saw a big sell off overnight, but

things seem to have calmed today. Apparently a bond sale in Italy went much

better than expected.. which may have bought us *all* some time.

New developments in the case of an allegedly kidnapped

2-year-old named Sky Metalwala. Turns out mom's story about running out of gas

isn't true.. Police find plenty of gas in the tank. Dan Springer covering the

developing details and we'll talk to Geraldo about the disturbing case.
