A man who detectives say posed as a police officer and sexually assaulted women in Herndon, Va., has been arrested, MyFoxDC.com reports.

Detectives followed 31-year-old Thomas Kim when he allegedly set out trolling for victims on Monday, according to the website.

Investigators said he approached three women during the time they were watching him. When one of the women got in the car with Kim, officers quickly moved in and arrested him.

Kim faces charges of sexual assault, abduction, impersonating a law enforcement officer, and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

Those charges stem from two incidents on Oct. 11, one at 3:45 p.m. local time and another at 7:00 p.m. In both cases, Kim allegedly showed the victim a badge, implied he had a weapon and then sexually assaulted them.

Investigators said Kim is a suspect in several other assaults.

"Right now, we're looking at him in connection with seven cases," Captain Larry Presgrave said. "The cases aren't complete yet. They're still open and active. Anyone who may have had contact with Kim should call us right away."

Kim is reportedly being held at the Fairfax County Detention Center without bond.
