Officials say a commuter train struck a car that was sitting on the tracks in a Philadelphia suburb, injuring more than a dozen people.

A spokeswoman for the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority says at least 15 people had non-life-threatening injuries following the collision Thursday morning in suburban Delaware County.

SEPTA's Heather Redfern tells The Philadelphia Inquirer that police are trying to determine how the car ended up on the tracks.

Train service on the rail line was limited while police investigate at the scene.
