DETROIT  -- A juror has been dismissed just 30 minutes after being selected for the trial of a Nigerian man accused of trying to bring down a plane over Detroit with a bomb in his underwear.

U.S. District Judge Nancy Edmunds on Thursday dismissed the woman who is from the defendant's home country shortly after a final jury was selected.

Edmunds did not explain the dismissal in court.
