Thursday September 8, 2011 Happening Now

Good Morning!

Weather again a major story today. Downpours causing massive flooding up and down east coast states. Towns like Binghamton, NY getting inundated right now.. record flood levels expected today. 4-7 more inches possible today in mid-Atlantic and Northeastern states.

In Texas, it’s all about the fires. A drop in humidity and temperatures should help firefighters there. The biggest fire the Bastrop fire near Austin now about 30% contained. Cross your fingers for more good news today.

Speaking of fires, some fireworks at the GOP debate last night! Perry versus Romney versus the rest of the candidates. Gingrich was pretty on-fire too. Perry didn’t make any gaffes but did re-iterate some comments on social security that may come back to haunt him. It’s getting really interesting.

Now we look forward to tonight’s big jobs speech by the President. What will be in the plan? Can he get it past a GOP-controlled House.. etc etc.
