JOLIET, Ill. – Attorneys for former suburban Chicago police officer Drew Peterson are asking for his release from jail during a pretrial appeal in his murder case.
Peterson remains in jail on $20 million bail in connection with the 2004 murder of Kathleen Savio, who was found dead in a dry bathtub in 2004. Peterson also remains a suspect in the disappearance of his fourth wife, 23-year-old Stacy Peterson.
