A New York City taxi driver has been rewarded for returning $100,000 worth of jewelry and cash left in the back seat of his cab.
John James forgot the bag with the valuables on Sunday after being dropped off at the National Arts Club where he lives, the Wall Street Journal reports.
The newspaper said James kept his receipt from the cab driver, Zubiru Jalloh, and the two were reunited on Monday. James offered him 10 $100 bills, which Jalloh said he reluctantly accepted, and invited him to the club's Valentine's Day party.
Jalloh declined the invitation. He says his Muslim faith told him to return someone else's property.
