Highway 99 near Fresno, Calif. has been closed for hours after a bus crash killed six people. See for yourself: The bus is barely recognizable. It's amazing that 41 people made it off, although many are injured.

The California Highway Patrol says the bus driver swerved to avoid another accident. The bus hit a concrete divider and another vehicle, then went down an embankment and hit a tree just after 2 am PT.

A passenger said the scene was a mess and passengers were helping to get each other off of the bus.
