WASHINGTON (AP) — Mothers Against Drunk Driving has named a top official with the breast-cancer charity Susan G. Komen for the Cure its new chief executive officer.
MADD says it has chosen Kimberly Earle as its new CEO. Earle was the chief operating officer with Susan G. Komen for the Cure and ran the nonprofit's Race for the Cure operations.
Earle succeeds Chuck Hurley, who is retiring in June.
The advocacy group, based in Irving, Texas, has for nearly 30 years sought tougher laws to address drunken driving. The nonprofit announced staff cuts last year after private donations, government grants and corporate sponsorships dropped about 15 percent.
