A new travel award that recognizes the best travel suppliers, destinations and professionals across a wide range of categories could help those planning a trip.

Winners of the inaugural 2014 Travvy Awards, organized by my group travAlliancemedia, were recently announced.

Let’s be clear, these were not groups picked by us, rather they were compiled by more than 30,000 travel agents who cast their votes for the best in the business based on their own experiences and feedback from millions of their clients.
