DONALD TRUMP AND HILLARY CLINTON MAKE PUSH TO ATTRACT SANDERS' SUPPORTERS

Gina Loudon:  Come on over to the cool kids side, Bernie supporters. If you vote for Hillary Clinton, you're voting for more of the same, for an establishment candidate. You're voting for someone who's    not really going to do any of the changes that are going to make life better for you, like jobs. I think that's kind of an important one and I think that's what should matter most to Bernie supporters.

Eboni Williams:  I count at least three of the last post primary night Trump speeches. Unapologetically, direct, to the point, asking specifically for Bernie Sanders supporters to come his way.  I think that's smart of Trump. I don't know why Hillary's not being specific about it. She should say, look, I understand  that you feel like you  have been shut out of this process and your candidate is not our nominee, however, please trust that I will be the candidate to talk about your issues, your concerns and push it forward in my white house. She's not doing it.

Mercedes Schlapp: First, I think she should probably tattoo “feel the Bern” on her arm. But what I really think Hillary Clinton needs to do is focus on the trade groups, the group of supporters focused on the trade policy; she’s not going to win those guys over. I could see those naturally fitting with a Donald Trump.  But there are the social justice issues, climate change issues, there are these other issues that are important to the Bernie Sanders supporters that they really want to see more of government in their lives and more in government creating or helping to solve these problems, in what you would say the world problems like climate change. So I do think for Clinton, her focus on the climate specifically, on say just the social justice issues alone, that is where I think she could garner the supporter.

NEW DEBATE AS GOP PUSHES TO RAMP UP WORK REQUIREMENTS FOR WELFARE RECIPIENTS

Mercedes Schlapp:  In states like Maine and Kansas, where the governors went back and said were going to strengthen these work requirements, guess what happened? They figured out that some of the money that was supposedly being used for food stamps or welfare was actually being used at Disney World on cruise ships. And then when you look at the work requirements in particular, what do we want most for these able bodied adults? We want them to have the incentive, to be productive members of society, to be able to participate in training programs and be able to feel that they are worthy and have value in our society.

Eboni Williams: Incentive based programs work, the data supports it. It helps both political narratives. Certainly, the left has been docked by this narrative that people just want freebees, they want to stay home, want to be lazy, and don’t want to contribute to society.  Well a work requirement helps aid that. Also, conservatives kind of get the rap of not caring about society, not being compassionate, not caring if people are starving and dying in the streets. This is a bipartisan effort to remedy both of those, at times, false narratives.

Gina Loudon:  I think Hillary will do whatever Hillary's packaging people tell her to do.  Whatever her consultants tell her to do. I don't know if there's conviction on what she says, that's why she's looked at as unauthentic. One thing that's even better about this is that people require skills when they are working. When they are out of the workforce, they're giving up that time. It doesn’t matter how much money you are getting, you are keeping yourself right where you are. This is how the regressive left uses these people.

REPORT: WHITE HOUSE WRITES NEW SCRIPT FOR HOLLYWOOD TO SPREAD ITS MESSAGE ON IMMIGRATION

Eboni Williams: I think most people know that Hollywood and the White House, as you pointed out have a long history. They're a very progressive group, generally speaking.  I don’t think that’s a shocker.

Gina Loudon: I have a problem because my taxpayer dollars are paying for this. Let’s remember this, what's good for the goose right? Because let’s say the next administration wants to put out propaganda talking about how great it is to build a wall or whatever it is. There would be such outrage. It is taxpayer funded government propaganda. This is just wrong.

Mercedes Schlapp: I think the white house should send a t-shirt to Melania Trump, she’s an immigrant too. We all are immigrants. There’s this crazy notion that were not for immigrants. Our nation was built on immigration. They’re trying to send a subconscious message out to the American people as if we don't want to deal with the issue of illegal immigration, which we know is a critical issue that we need to deal with.
