Let's all go "Off the Record" for a minute. And I guess it's pretty plain - I'm furious at President Obama. And you should be, too. At best, he blew it; at worst, he doesn't give a damn.

Yesterday, he spoke to the president of Mexico about the border and according to the White House's own notes of that call, as we just discussed, President Obama said nothing, zero, zippo about our Marine, Sergeant Andrew Tahmooressi. He's been held in that Mexican prison since March 31st. I don't get it. Why didn't President Obama say something yesterday? Fox News Channel's Ed Henry asked about it at today's White House press briefing.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ED HENRY, FOX NEWS SENIOR WHITE HOUSE CORRESPONDENT: Did the president talk about that case with Mexican president?

JOSH EARNEST, WHITE HOUSE SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO THE PRESIDENT: I don't have any more details of that conversation but I can take a look at that for you, too.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

OK. That was lame. New White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest dodged that question, and it's certainly is not a very complicated question. I'm not asking President Obama to demand release. I'm just asking that President Obama ask Mexico to fast-track the judicial process. Any decent prosecutor or judge - and I believe there are some looking at Sergeant Tahmooressi's case - will immediately dismiss it. This isn't a close case.

Now, President Obama had his chance on that call to help Sergeant Tahmooressi. But he let us all down big-time. And that's my "Off the Record" comment tonight.
