ERIC BOLLING, CO-HOST: Looks like President O has a weird obsession with my pal, El Rushbaugh, Mr. Rush Limbaugh.
Yesterday, the president fired up the jet, flew up to New York City and raised some cash from a bunch of Hollywood gurus like Harvey Weinstein, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel.
What was his message to the Tinseltown types? The commander-in-chief of most powerful nation in the history of man blamed Rush Limbaugh for his failure to get anything done in Washington.

RUSH LIMBAUGH, RADIO TALK SHOW HOST: He is essentially begging any Republican to denounce me. He is fixated on me. He simply cannot get me off of his mind. I live rent-free in his head. And he is using me as his convenient mistake or excuse for not being able to get anything done.

BOLLING: And Rush, being the great guy that he is, he offered to help out.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
LIMBAUGH: I would like to make myself available to the president of the United States to sit down and talk with him at a place of his choosing and discuss the problems facing the country and may be working together since I and the opposition, since I am the obstacle, since I am the reason he can't get things done.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
BOLLING: And I would like to be at the table right there, Mr. Beckel.
BOB BECKEL, CO-HOST: You know, I'm sure the president of the United States, Rush spends all day long thinking about you -- I think you are overstating your influence a little bit, old boy.
BOLLING: Whoa, hold on.
(CROSSTALK)
BECKEL: Yes, at a fund-raiser, he said. That doesn't mean he thinks about it all day long as Rush suggested he does.
DANA PERINO, CO-HOST: Do you think he thought about the IRS all day long?
BECKEL: I'm sure he did think about that.
GREG GUTFELD, CO-HOST: He was thinking about how he could only do nine holes this week.
BECKEL: The other thing is raising the money is thing presidents do. You keep bringing this up as if something odd for Obama. Every president does the same thing.
BOLLING: All right. Well, here's what he said. He said something to the effect, I don't have the exact quote, but he said, Rush Limbaugh is actually stopping Republicans to agree to work with President Obama. Do you buy any of this stuff?
ANDREA TANTAROS, CO-HOST: President Obama is enabling himself or preventing himself from being able to work with Republicans. It's not Rush Limbaugh's fault.
But I think the president believes he has a good enemy in Rush Limbaugh. It's a great way for him to raise money.
I will say this -- the left and President Obama cronies sit around and they think of ways to de-fund talk radio. They do this all the time. They will take clips of me saying something and they will leave out the rest of it. They will farm it out and they will use it to pressure people, advertisers, not to advertise on my program.
They thought that they were going to get a talk radio host during Sandra Fluke controversy. They got in their minds a big fish with Rush Limbaugh. That is why they targeted him. That is why they continue to do it.
BOLLING: We have Benghazi breaking, we have IRS, and we had AP scandal breaking all at once, but President Obama goes to New York and does his fund-raisers with his 1 percent.
PERINO: One thing you have to give President Obama is that he knows his audience, OK? So, his audience loves to get fired up and riled up against somebody. And Rush Limbaugh has been their favorite punching bag for years. It's kind of boring and tired.
If President Obama really wanted to achieve something in Congress, there is a way to do that and that's to be persuasive and to have a good argument, lay out the facts and get someone to come on to his side.
The fact that you can argue against them on policy on just about everything is not the Republicans' fault. It's their fault.
BECKEL: Well, it also is true that every time a Republican wants to try to do something in a bipartisan way, they get threatened with their primary on their side.
PERINO: Yes, they do.
BECKEL: And Limbaugh and other purists who want people that way, say, OK, you do that, and we're going to primary you.
TANTAROS: Democrats are so diverse.
GUTFELD: President Obama is right. He's right. Rush Limbaugh is probably the most significant Republican in the country when you think about it. The Republicans have yet to put forth a strong polar opposite, our version, they would say, of Obama. They haven't done that yet, like I said.
Anyway, Obama goes to his comfort zone, whenever it feels bad. He goes to the coastal celebrities. He is such a star gazer. He is worse than Prez Hilton.
PERINO: I have to say that the Republicans are the ones that are obsessed with the election when he was fund-raising for the election.
TANTAROS: And think this proves he's in big trouble, Eric, with all of these scandals. He needs to rally his base because the conservative base is rallied. So, he figures I'll go back to plan A.
(CROSSTALK)
BECKEL: I guarantee that fundraiser was planned 90 days before --
TANTAROS: His remarks weren't.
BOLLING: His staff saying, let's keep him away from all the controversy -- lot of stuff popping -- when he was in New York, hanging with J.T.
