SEAN HANNITY, HOST: Time and again on this program, we have highlighted the left's bullying tactics, from the race card, class warfare, to sexism and generally violent rhetoric.

Liberals and their friends in the media have been bullying their opponents for the last half century, and the president, well, has been taking his cues in the left wing and this history, because my next guest says Obama's team is all about using the strong arm tactics to get their way.

He is the author of a brand new book "Bullies: How the Left's Culture of Fear and Intimidation Silences Americans." Tonight, he's here to unveil the top five bullies working with the president.

Here now Breitbart.com editor, Ben Shapiro. How are you? Good to see you again.

BEN SHAPIRO, "BULLIES" AUTHOR: Thanks for having me.

HANNITY: All right, let's start at the top. Let's go to number five. Dan Savage on "Real Time with Bill Maher" and let's roll the tape.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP, "REAL TIME"/HBO, JULY 15, 2011)

BILL MAHER, HOST: You Republicans are like Arafat.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: It's --

DAN SAVAGE, COLUMNIST: Unfortunately not exactly like it, I wish they were all (EXPLETIVE) dead.

SAVAGE: Just so you don't get charges of sexism, because only Michele Bachmann was -- I sometimes think about taking a (EXPLETIVE) on Rick Santorum.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HANNITY: Endless, on that show in particular.

SHAPIRO: And Dan Savage is, believe it or not, one of the heads of the anti-bullying project at the White House, right. He runs the "It Gets Better" project. The White House has cut tapes for the "It Gets Better" project. Dan Savage made headlines a few months back when he bullied a bunch of Christian kids who walked out of his lectures where he was yelling about how the Bible was wrong and evil.

HANNITY: Unbelievable. Let's go to Brian Williams and George Stephanopoulos next.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIPS)

BRIAN WILLIAMS, HOST, "NIGHTLY NEWS"/NBC, AUGUST 30: Are you prepared to leave this gathering and own the fact that the platform of this party allows a woman who has been raped, no exception, but to carry that child to term.

GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS, "GMA"/ABC, NOV. 28: Battle brewing over who will be the next secretary of state. No final decision yet from President Obama, but the front runner is U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice, and she ran into a buzz saw yesterday on Capitol Hill when she met with Republican senators critical of her nomination.

(END VIDEO CLIPS)

HANNITY: It's so common -- look, if they interviewed Democrats the same way, I would be all is fair in love and war, but they don't.

SHAPIRO: They don't. Andrew Breitbart -- who was one of my mentors -- Andrew used to say that the problem with the mainstream media is that they pretend they're objective. Look at George Stephanopoulos, the guy was a Clinton staffer. I mean, a Clinton staffer. That's like if Karl Rove were now the anchor, real anchor, on a news program. I mean, it's crazy.

HANNITY: He ran a war room.

SHAPIRO: He did. He ran a war room and people wondering why did George Stephanopoulos -- remember during the debates. Why did George Stephanopoulos suddenly bring up contraception right during the debates? He did it because that was part of the Obama administration's war on women and he was playing a part in all of that.

HANNITY: Why do I not doubt they spoke ahead of time?

SHAPIRO: Exactly.

HANNITY: All right, let's go to a quote by Richard Trumka, and he says, he smears Mitt Romney and he says, "What Mitt Romney said about half the country is a spit in the face of everyday American people who know what it means to work incredibly hard and still sometimes fail to get by. These so-called victims he dismisses with ease are victims of his -- they're victims of a system that's rigged by Mitt Romney's backers so they'd lose."

SHAPIRO: Richard Trumka, head of the AFL-CIO, and he really stands for the entire union left that works hand and glove with the Obama administration to really bully the living hell out of Americans. I mean, they're not interested in us paying lower prices. They're not interested in us being employed. They're interested in Richard Trumka making $300,000 a year and meeting at the White House and making sure he gets all his benefits.

HANNITY: And unions when they don't get their way in the last year --

SHAPIRO: Right, exactly, watched someone punch Steven Crowder in the face. When they don't get their way, especially public sector unions, the threat to public safety and the threat to public violence is very real.

HANNITY: All right, let's go to number four, this has to do with some of these groups out there that have paid enormous amounts of money, and it's now institutionalized, and you discuss this in great detail in the book, and that's that they monitor every word of every conservative and try to target them to silence them, and you put David Brock at number two.

SHAPIRO: Sean, you know this better than anybody, David Brock, who is the head of Media Matters and deeply involved with the Obama administration. The White House meets with Media Matters on a regular basis and they really monitor everything conservatives say and then they launch astroturf boycotts.

This is what they did with Rush Limbaugh. They create an astroturf boycott around Sandra Fluke. It would have made no difference whatsoever what Rush said and he apologized for it. It didn't matter. They kept pushing for it regardless of what happened, and they kept pushing and kept pushing and then the Obama administration got involved and Obama himself went out there and started pushing forward with calling Sandra Fluke personally.

You know, when Piers Morgan -- there's a petition to get rid of Piers Morgan -- then Obama sees the necessity to come out and talk free speech. When Rush Limbaugh is getting attacked he feels the necessity to come out and attack Rush Limbaugh.

HANNITY: What about -- this is our final in the countdown. It's number one. It has to do with Obama smear tactics. We saw a lot of this in the campaign and post campaign, this never ending campaign with him, and it was Biden using the race card, it was class warfare, and every election is about racism, Republicans hate women and Republicans only care about the rich. These tactics are always used and seem to work, they're effective.

SHAPIRO: They do. Mitt Romney lost because in the public mind he was a bad guy, not because he was wrong on policy, not because Barack Obama is a good president, everyone knows he sucks. It's because everyone thought that Mitt Romney was a bad guy and that's because of the race card, the sex card and the class warfare card.

HANNITY: Last question, how do Republicans counter the bullying, because I agree with you, I think you're making really valid points. They're very good at demonization. How would you counter it?

SHAPIRO: We can't be civil with them. We can't. We've reached the end of bipartisanship. We've reached the end of civility. It's like the Geneva Conventions. These people are out of uniform. Once they exit the realm of civility, they are now fair game. Enough playing fair with them and the moral high ground. We've had the moral high ground and it means that we lose. We need to start fighting back and fighting back hard.

HANNITY: It's a great book, "Bullies," Ben Shapiro, good to see you. I read Breitbart every day, appreciate it.
