Grapevine: Civil War makes news

And now some fresh pickings from the Political Grapevine...

No Suit, No Service

Last night we told you that Congressman Bobby Rush was escorted from the House floor for violating dress code.

He was wearing a hoodie in honor of Trayvon Martin.

Now, Congressional Black Caucus Chairman Emanuel Cleaver is requesting that Speaker John Boehner enforce the House dress code for everyone.

Cleaver mentioned that members sometimes go to the floor in jeans, for instance, during a late night vote and are not removed.

Here's what Speaker Boehner said in response.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

REP. JOHN BOEHNER, R - OHIO: I think the rules are enforced evenly. I've asked members on both sides of the aisle, to leave the floor myself

#Sorry

Another update, Hollywood director Spike Lee has issued an apology to the elderly Florida couple whose address he re-tweeted as belonging to George Zimmerman.

Last night Lee tweeted -- quote -- "I deeply apologize to the McClain family for re-tweeting their address. It was a mistake. Please leave the McClains in peace."

Lunch Money

Subway sandwich fans may want to stash some extra cash when they're in San Francisco.

The sandwich maker with its familiar $5 Footlong jingle has stopped offering the $5 deal in that city.

Local reports say the chain ended the promotion there because of the high cost of doing business. Some say it's about the new minimum wage in San Francisco, $10.24. That may be contributing to the problem.

ALERT!!!

And finally, two schools in southern Virginia were on high alert Tuesday morning after a man with a gun was spotted nearby.

Police soon learned that the man was not a threat but a Civil War re-enactor.

The gentleman had just spoken to a history class where he brought the rifle as a prop.

The campuses were able to continue with their normal scheduling once it was discovered the man was just doing his job.
