I don't know about you…
But I’ve known my share of rich jerks.
And poor jerks.
As I’ve said many times, "jerkery" knows no pedigree.
I will say this, however.
As different as they are, I’ve never gotten a job from a poor person.
Not once.
Never. Never ever has a poor person ever hired me.
A rich person has.
Or "richer" person.
This doesn't make them saints, but I don't think just being rich makes them sinners.
Because rich people tend to hire poor people.
Or at the very least, "poorer" people.
You know why?
Because they can.
They have the money.
The poor guy does not.
Now the poor guy can "get" the money, so that he can be a rich guy too.
But first, the rich guy's gotta hire him.
And the rich guy usually does that, "only" if he or his company are doing well.
And, let me be blunt here, "only" if it will help him or his company.
Like I said, the rich guy's not a saint.
This isn't personal, it's business.
But back to the rich dude.
Increase his costs, he'll decrease his hiring.
More taxes, fewer workers.
It's basic math. Actually, it's selfish math.
But that's ok, that's capitalism.
You want more money coming in than going out.
Washington should try it.
…because right now Washington is doing everything to destroy it.
...insisting the rich aren't paying their fair share.
But not saying a word about the nearly half of all Americans who pay no income taxes at all.
...in the end...hiking taxes on the rich to such a point and at such a rate that those most ready to dig us out, just dig in.
Refusing to hire.
Refusing to shop.
Refusing to move.
Refusing to risk.
Now it's one thing to put the poor in that kind of funk.
There's only so much they can do.
But the rich?
So much they now "can't" do.
…and all courtesy class-warfare politicians, who all but call them jerks.
Leaving out the little details…
These are the jerks...who provide all the jobs.
And that's how this guy wants to get us back to work?
"What" a piece…of work.
