Frantic Search for 8-Year-Old

GRETA VAN SUSTEREN, HOST: There's breaking news right now in California. Eight-year-old Sandra Cantu is missing.

As you know, every single tick of the clock matters in the search for a child. Sandra disappeared from a mobile home park in Tracy, California on Friday evening.

Joining us by phone is Sergeant Tony Sheneman from the Tracy Police Department. Sergeant, what is the latest in the search for this child?

SGT. TONEY SHENEMAN, TRACY POLICE DEPARTMENT: We're — our investigators jointly working with the FBI are aggressively pursuing many leads. We're in the process of serving a couple of, or one search warrant for several locations concerning two people and associated vehicles.

VAN SUSTEREN: Sergeant, those are actually being served at this hour, those warrants?

SHENEMAN: As we speak.

VAN SUSTEREN: Is it thought that the child is at any of those locations?

SHENEMAN: We don't have any information leading us to believe that at the moment. We are looking for evidence that could lead to her whereabouts.

VAN SUSTEREN: Now, back to last Friday. She was last seen about what time at the mobile home park?

SHENEMAN: Around 4:00. We were able to determine the timeline of her activities from a surveillance video, from a surveillance setup that her family has installed on their home. She was last seen approximately 4:00.

VAN SUSTEREN: Did she walk out of the camera's view around 4:00?

SHENEMAN: Just before 4:00 she walked into the camera view. She was coming from her friend's house, and we were able to confirm by interviewing the friend.

She told her friend that she was returning to her home to do some homework. She walked into the camera view, entered her home, and then walked out into the camera view for a moment, turned south from her home, and that is the last she has been seen.

VAN SUSTEREN: Was anyone else in that camera view either when she walked into the home or when she left the home?

SHENEMAN: No, ma'am.

VAN SUSTEREN: When will she reported missing?

SHENEMAN: At 7:53 that evening.

VAN SUSTEREN: When she went into the mobile home to begin doing he homework, presumably, did she see anybody and say anything to anybody?

SHENEMAN: We will not know that until we speak to her.

VAN SUSTEREN: Was anybody in the home?

SHENEMAN: Her mother was there but she says she did not see her.

VAN SUSTEREN: Did not see her at all?

SHENEMAN: No.

VAN SUSTEREN: How long was she in the home before she turned around and left?

SHENEMAN: Less than two minutes.

VAN SUSTEREN: And I take it that this child is not a runaway, has not run away before?

SHENEMAN: She's — we have no history of running away before, no.

VAN SUSTEREN: Sergeant, good luck. I know that you are serving those warrants right now. I hope they're fruitful, and more importantly, I hope that you find the child at one of those locations.
