GRETA VAN SUSTEREN, HOST: The family of Darrent Williams now grieving and looking for answers.

Joining us from Fort Worth, Texas, are Darrent Williams's cousins, Dante and Datron Williams. Welcome to both of you. And of course, our condolences to you and your entire family. Obviously, this is very tragic.

Dante, is there anything we can do or help — do to help you?

DANTE WILLIAMS, COUSIN: Well, right now, you know, the family's just going through the grief. Everybody said I don't think it's too much nobody can just do for us right now.

You know, basically, we just — we want some justice. That's all, basically, you know, because we can't bring D back, you know? We can't bring Darrent back. So I mean, you know, we're going to hurt right now, you know what I mean?

VAN SUSTEREN: I do know. Datron, this is a very close family. Explain how close you and Dante were to Darrent.

DATRON WILLIAMS, COUSIN: We were real close, man. You know, there were a lot of things that we did besides going out to the club, you know, go out and eat, chill, go to parties, you know, just did a lot of things, go to the movies, kick it, a lot of things that we won't be able to do now, you know? And it's just going to be pain to go through, man.

I'm really hurting. These are wounds that I don't think that can ever be closed up because we were so close. He never had a hateful bone in his body. If he knew you or if he didn't know you, he always had his hand out. If you needed something, he'd give it to you. That's just the kind of man he was. And it's devastating to see him go out like that, by a gun and get murdered. No, he wasn't that type of man. He didn't lead that type of life. So it...

(CROSSTALK)

DATRON WILLIAMS: ... really hurts me, man. It's painful.

DANTE WILLIAMS: Yes.

VAN SUSTEREN: Dante, did you actually grow up in the same household as Darrent?

DANTE WILLIAMS: Yeah. We grew up in the same household together in my granny's house.

VAN SUSTEREN: So you're like brothers.

DANTE WILLIAMS: Yes, we're like brothers. He practically raised me, though, you know, through high school. We went to the same high school. We went to the same middle school. So you know, he practically raised me. He was in a higher grade, but he was always there for me.

VAN SUSTEREN: Dante, I know that you spoke to him on December 30. Did he indicate that he had any people out to get him who might want to harm him, or anything unusual about that phone call?

DANTE WILLIAMS: No, it never was like nothing like that. He ain't never had no enemies. When I talked to him, I wished him a merry Christmas and I wished him a happy New Year, you know? He didn't ever say nothing about, you know, that he had problems with somebody. Matter of fact, I'm sure that he didn't have no problems with nobody like that. I mean, he ain't never really just had no time to be out there like that, you know what I mean?

D was the type of person would, like, — when he'd go somewhere, he liked to shine, you know, off the field and on the field. He liked to be known. He wanted to be, you know, in that light. So you know, some people, the average people don't like that, you know what I mean? So it was a lot of jealousy in the whole picture, you know what I mean, so, you know, because everybody don't like to see you, you know, on top like that, you know?

So he never had no problems with nobody. It was just pure hatred really that got him killed.

VAN SUSTEREN: Gentlemen, thank you very much. And again, our condolences to you and to your family.
