I've been hearing a lot of complaints about this recall vote in California. That it is a travesty, a waste of time, akin to Republicans trying to steal the election.

Here's what I say: If you don't like it, vote against it.

If you are riled by it, get out the vote to squash it.

If you think the system's unfair to your guy, vote to keep your guy.

Find all the other candidates a mockery? Vote against the mockery.

Happy with what you have? Keep what you have.

Things don't happen unless you want them to happen. And now, more than a quarter of California's Democrats, want this recall to happen. That doesn't sound like being steamrolled to me. But it's your call.

Stop it, or keep it. But then, move on with it. If it's so bad, then do something good. After all, the law's on your books. Decide now whether you want to use it or lose it.

If you want to take a stand, then cast a vote. Step up and then for god's sake, shut up.
