Stephens will open for U.S. in Fed Cup playoff

St. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - Sloane Stephens will be first up for the United States when it battles visiting France this weekend in a best-of-five Fed Cup World Group playoff.The world No. 17 Stephens will be opposed by 20-year-old Caroline Garcia in Saturday's opening singles match on an indoor hardcourt at Chaifetz Arena on the campus of Saint Louis University.
