Chicago acquires Lindpere from New York

The Chicago Fire has acquired forward Joel Lindpere from Red Bull New York in exchange for a 2013 International Roster Spot, the club announced.Lindpere joined New York from Norwegian side Tromso in 2010 and went on to appear in 97 matches for the Red Bulls, totaling 15 goals and 18 assists in his three seasons with the club."Joel is a versatile, dependable player that has proven himself in MLS," said Fire president of soccer operations Javier Leon. "He will provide a dynamic presence to our team in 2013 as we look to return to the MLS Cup Playoffs."The 31-year-old scored five goals with five assists for New York last season, and has earned 83 caps on the international level for Estonia....
