'Nightline' to Have Three Anchors

ABC News said Monday it will replace Ted Koppel ( search ) on "Nightline" with the three-anchor team of Martin Bashir ( search ), Cynthia McFadden ( search ) and Terry Moran ( search ) and heavily revamp the show's format.Koppel, the late-night news show's only anchor since it began in 1980, leaves ABC News after his final broadcast Nov. 22.With the change, the Washington-based "Nightline" will be produced out of both Washington and New York (from the Times Square studio also used by "Good Morning America"). McFadden and Bashir will be based in New York, while Moran will stay in Washington.The live show will also address multiple topics, as was hinted during test runs over the summer. During Koppel's reign, "Nightline" concentrated on a single topic each night.McFadden has worked at ABC News for 12 years, concentrating on "Primetime Live."
