Menard extends contract with Richard Childress Racing

Paul Menard has signed a multi-year extension with Richard Childress Racing to drive the No. 27 Chevrolet in the Sprint Cup Series, the team announced on Friday.RCR also revealed that his family-owned Menards home improvement stores has agreed to a multi-year sponsorship renewal of the No. 27 team.Menard has driven for RCR, with Menards sponsoring the team's efforts, since the start of the 2011 Sprint Cup season. He finished ninth in his debut with RCR in the Daytona 500, and later in the season, he won the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway for his first career victory in the series."It is great to have Paul Menard back in the No. 27 Menards Chevrolet as our driver," team owner Richard Childress said in a statement.
