Phelps to swim 3 events in first meet back

Mesa, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - Michael Phelps will swim in three events in his first post-retirement meet.Phelps is listed on the sheets for two freestyle races and a butterfly race at next week's Arena Grand Prix in Mesa, Ariz., his first competition since he retired after the 2012 London Olympics.Longtime coach Bob Bowman has in the past expressed doubt about Phelps' desire to swim in a sprint event, but the 22-time Olympic medalist is entered in the 50-meter freestyle next week.He will also swim in the 100 free and 100 butterfly.
