Several thousand revelers gathered in the capitals of tiny St. Maarten and Curacao on Sunday to celebrate greater autonomy within the Dutch kingdom as a result of the breakup of the Netherlands Antilles.At the stroke of midnight Saturday, officials lowered the blue-and-red Netherlands Antilles flag and raised the flags of St. Maarten and Curacao in their place.
